🎨 How do I get a hairstyle for my birb?
Hairstyles are a seasonal event reward that any user can earn! Hairstyles are treated similarly to other seasonal items you can earn:
- Finch Plus users: there will be specific days to guarantee earning a hairstyle during the event
- Free users: hairstyles will have the same chance like other items to be earned through the chest reward
💇 How do I equip or change my birb's hairstyle?
- Tap the Bag icon on your home screen
- Go to Outfits
- Tap the comb icon to access your hairstyles
- Select the hairstyle you want to equip!
You can head back to the same spot anytime to switch things up or remove a hairstyle.
🌈 Do hairstyles come in different colors?
At this time, each hairstyle comes in one color.
Hairstyles have some unique challenges as an item system, but we hope to support more colors in the future.
🧢 Can I wear hats and accessories on top of the hairstyle?
Yes! Hats and head accessories can be worn right on top of your birb's hairstyle. Just equip a head accessory along with the hairstyle and you’ll be all set!
There’s a lot of tricky corner cases for this, so please reach out to us at support@befinch.com if you notice if a specific hat combo looks broken! 🙏🏻
💭 Will you have more hairstyles in the future? How often will hairstyles be introduced?
Great news, more hairstyles are on the way! We plan to introduce new ones through future seasonal events to start, and we're still working out the details on how that'll look. We hope this is a good starting point that will enable us to figure out hairstyles for the longer term.
There’s a lot of things we still need to iron out regarding the hairstyle system and the challenges where our shops aren’t scaling as is. But know that it’s something our team expects to continuously think through.

🛒 Can I purchase hairstyles in the shop?
Hairstyles aren't available for purchase in the shop. Right now, they can only be earned through seasonal events, so make sure to keep an eye out for them during the event!
There are a lot of challenges with the way shops work today that will take time to revisit before we feel more confident about how to access hairstyles longer term.
📅 How can I get a hairstyle if I miss it during an event?
Hairstyles are currently available through seasonal events only. We are hoping to release more hairstyles in future events, but unfortunately there isn’t going to be a way to get a past event hairstyle at this moment. There’s some unique challenges we’re ironing out with the hairstyle system and figuring out how to scale the shop experience that will take some time. Apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
